PURPOSE: To set a restoring filter function for restoring processing optimum to a film used for image pickup and to realize a method to attain high speed restoring processing. CONSTITUTION: The processing unit is provided with a restoring filter setting section 17 which sets a restoring filter function using parameters of a deterioration functionn spectrum of a measured image based on blur information recorded on a film at image pickup, a noise spectral density with respect to the included noise and an ideal image spectrum density obtained by eliminating added noise from the measured image and applies optimum restoring processing to each film image in order to restore the image without blur and out-of-focus from the measured image including blur and out-of-focus picked up on the film, a glanular noise information output section 18 storing and outputting glanular noise information specific to the film, and an image decoding arithmetic section 19 conducting the arithmetic processing based on the restoring filter function set by the restoring filter setting section 17. |
