<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cable processing method in which the smooth and uniform surface of a cable insulator is simply obtained and in which the electric performance of a connection part can be enhanced. CONSTITUTION: An external semiconductive layer 1c for a CV cable which is constituted of a cable conductor 1a, of an internal semiconductive layer, of a cable insulator 1b and of the external semiconductive layer 1c is removed in a part in which the CV cable is connected electrically. The cable insulator 1b is exposed, and its outer circumference is covered with a shrinkage tube 3 having a smooth inside surface after the tube has been heated and shrunk. Alternatively, a cylinder whose inside is smooth in the same manner and whose inside diameter is a little larger than the outside diameter of the cable insulator 1b is inserted and passed on the cable insulator 1b so as to be covered. In addition, its outside is heated, the cable insulator 1b is softened, the smooth face at the inside of the covering object 3 is transferred to the surface of the cable insulator 1b, and the surface of the cable insulator 1b is finished to be smooth. Then, in a state that a stopper 2a has been fixed to the exposed cable conductor 1a so as come into close contact with the edge of the cable insulator 1b, the covering object 3 is attached.</p> |
