COMPRESSED MOTION IMAGE REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To surely attain reproduction from an in-frame prediction coding image of a recording medium on which an in-frame prediction coding image and an inter-frame prediction coding image are recorded. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a reproduction mode instruction means 9 instructing read of a signal of a recording medium recording a coded image and instructing the operation for a detection means 10 and a control means 11 and with a signal read means 12 reading out a signal of the recording medium. Then sequence header information is detected from the signal read by the detection means 10 and the sequence header information and address information are fed to the control means 11 and a coded image is fed to an image decoding means 13 and the control means 11 is used to store two kinds of the information sets as above. The sequence header information corresponding to the address read from the storage information is extracted and said information is set to the image decoding means 13 and a coded image from the detection means 10 is decoded and outputted.
