PURPOSE: To obtain the mobile station verification method capable of keeping the equal security, requiring less number of signals than that of a conventional method. CONSTITUTION: A system 201 informs a random number to a mobile station 203 making a registration request, the mobile station 203 uses information specific to the station itself and the random number to make a prescribed arithmetic operation and informs the result to the system 201. The system 201 uses the information specific to the mobile station 203 and the random number to make the prescribed arithmetic operation and generates a new random number when the result is coincident with the informed result of arithmetic operation and informs the new random number to the mobile station 203. In the case of 2nd and succeeding registration request, the mobile station 203 uses the random number received in the preceding notice and the information specific to the mobile station 203 to make the prescribed arithmetic operation and sends a registration request with the result of arithmetic operation added thereto. The system 201 informs a new random number to the mobile station 203 when the result of arithmetic operation included in this registration request signal is valid. |
