ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE TACKY ADHESIVE AND ELECTRODE PAD PRODUCED BY USING THE ADHESIVE

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrically conductive tacky adhesive agent to be used e.g. in an electrode pad for transmitting an electric signal from a living body to a medical diagnostic instrument or applying a low-frequency power to a living body for mitigating the pain or for therapeutic use, having excellent adhesivity to the skin and electrical conductivity and exhibiting excellent adhesivity in repeated use necessary for the repasting of the adhesive and provide an electrode pad produced by using the adhesive. CONSTITUTION: This electrically conductive tacky adhesive is produced by compounding 30-90wt.% of a polyester polyol as a skeleton-forming component in forming a gel, 0.01-30wt.% of an ionic compound and 10-70wt.% of a solvent capable of dissolving these components and crosslinking the composition with an isocyanate compound. The ionic compound is preferably a lithium salt such as lithium perchlorate and the solvent is preferably a nonvolatile liquid such as glycols (e.g. ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol), alkyl ethers or polyols.
