The liquid crystal display panel comprises a first substrate (1) and a second substrate (2) opposite to each other, and further comprises a reflecting layer (3), an optical wavelength conversion layer (5) and a quantum dot layer (4). The reflecting layer (3) is arranged on the second substrate (2), the quantum dot layer (4) is arranged on the first substrate (1) or the second substrate (2), and the reflecting layer (3) and the quantum dot layer (4) are arranged in a direction from the second substrate (2) to the first substrate (1); the optical wavelength conversion layer (5) is made from an up-conversion material, and is arranged between the reflecting layer (3) and the quantum dot layer (4). The liquid crystal display panel has higher ambient light utilization rate, and has higher brightness and contrast.
