PURPOSE: To restrain each positive electrode lattice from being elongated by enhancing the efficiency of a reduction reaction of sulfate in a negative plate with the conductivity of electrons in the surface of the negative plate made higher than that in the inside of the negative plate, making an oxygen absorption reaction low, and also making trickle charge current low in amperage. CONSTITUTION: In order to make the conductivity of electrons in the surface of a negative plate higher than that in the inside of the negative plate, carbon containing suspension is sprayed on the surface of the negative plate just after paste has been filled in the negative plate. Besides, a sheet of paste paper high in conductivity while conductive fibers and powder are contained, may be bonded on the negative plate the surface of which is filled with paste, in this case, it is preferable that a sheet of thin craft paper is used, in which carbon fibers are mixed and skimmed. By this constitution, a charging efficiency is enhanced when sulfate in the negative plate in which electron conductivity is enhanced, is reduced by trickle charging. Furthermore, a spacer sheet through which steam is hardly transmitted, is provided in a space interspaced from the wall surface of a battery jar faced to a surface not faced to the separator of the negative plate, adhesion is thereby enhanced, and the oxygen absorption capacity of the negative plate is thereby weakened, so that trickle current is made low in amperage. |
