PURPOSE: To prevent only one of transmitting side and terminating side portable radio communication equipment of which continuous communication time is limited from predominantly consuming power by approximately equalizing the power consumption of both equipment. CONSTITUTION: In a portable radio communication system for executing communication between plural portable radio communication equipment of which continuous communication time is limited, a communication transmitting side portable radio communication equipment (transmitting side PS) transmits an OFF informing signal for informing the OFF of communication at the expiration of the limit time and a communication terminating side portable radio communication equipment (terminating side PS) stores the OFF of communication at the expiration of the limit time at the time of receiving the OFF informing signal, and after the lapse of fixed time from the communication OFF, calls the transmitting side PS to reconnect the communication. |
