<p>PURPOSE: To provide a PC card with which time for writing can be shortened. CONSTITUTION: An interface control part 1 receives a card-enable signal showing whether a host system 7 is set in an access state or not from that host system 7 and when the host system 7 is set in a non-access state, unwanted data in a flash memory 6 are erased and an idle block is secured, but when there is a write request from the host system 7, data are written in the idle block secured during the non-access state. Since the idle block is secured inside the flash memory 6 during the non-access state, it is not necessary to perform an erasing operation for securing the idle block in the middle of writing operation, the time for writing can be shortened just for it, and the system can be accelerated and made efficient.</p> |
