PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and inexpensive carrier continuous strip made of a polymer material capable of stacking a package wherein a carrier is certainly passed round a can having a new style taper neck mechanically just under the annular protruding edge of the can without posing a problem. SOLUTION: A carrier continuous strip 30 obtained by the punching molding of one sheet made of a polymer material contains outside band pieces 34, inside band pieces 38, straps 50 grasped by fingers, webs 40 separating can receiving holes 32, 32, joining webs 60 and reinforcing support material forming straps 52. When the carrier continuous strip 3 is passed round six cans having new style taper necks, a carrier 14 is cut along lines L, L. The straps 52 have a wide hand drum shape in the carrier continuous strip in a stress free state and the width thereof is considerably large as compared with the width of the straps 50 inwardly bent each other or the radius of curvature of an apex A. |
