PURPOSE: To enable the production of a large-sized molded body as well as to reduce average pore diameter after firing under reduction to <=1μm and to make molten iron resistance comparable to that of a brick by improvement while maintaining the spalling resistance of monolithic refractory and to obtain a molded body for the bottom of a blast furnace capable of enhancing the efficiency of construction of the furnace. CONSTITUTION: A dispersant is added by 0.005-1wt.% to a compsn. consisting of, by weight, 75-90% Al2 O3 , 4-15% carbon, 1-6% metallic Si, 16% SiO2 derived from siliceous powder and 0.5-2% CaO derived from hydraulic cement, calcined alumina is used as 1-6% of the Al2 O3 and calcined anthracite is used as part or all of the carbon. Water is added to the resultant blend and they are kneaded and cast by vacuum casting or vacuum vibration casting. |
