PURPOSE: To provide a power steering device which can quickly give assisting driving force to a steering bar according to the steering force of a steering shaft, and can realize this by a simple small sized construction and at low cost. CONSTITUTION: In this power steering device 10, a wane type variable delivery pump 34 is arranged in response to the extreme end part of a steering shaft 20. A cam ring 40 is movable by the pin 58 of the steering shaft 20, and hereby the volumes of pump chambers 42, 44 are changed. Therefore, when the volumes of the pump chambers 42, 44 are relatively changed by operating the steering shaft 20 right or left, the volumes and the feed directions of working oil fed to cylinder chambers 30, 32 are changed. Namely, the cam ring 40 is provided with the function as a control valve, and hence assisting force is automatically controlled so as to be given to a steering bar 14. |
