PURPOSE: To recycle a developing roller with developing quality as good as a new one. CONSTITUTION: In this method for recycling the developing roller provided with a roller part carrying developer and a plastic flange part coupled with the end of the roller part and transmitting driving force to the roller part; the deformation part of the roller part 52 caused by coupling with the flange part 51 is removed after the flange part 51 and the roller part 52 are disassembled, and the flange part 58 which is long in an axial direction is coupled with the roller part 57 which becomes short in length.
