The invention relates to machine-tool construction, in particular, to devices for fixing work pieces in a lathe spindle. A clamp self-centering chuck comprises a built-up body, having a rear part for connection with the chuck and a front part with radial guide slots, in which gripping jaws adapted to move are arranged and connected to a scroll gear via racks, the gear being provided with a high reduction driving gear. The driving gear is embodied as a planetary gear consisting of a central cog-wheel with internal toothing, satellites and a carrier with two equal and oppositely directed eccentric surfaces. The central cog-wheel is mounted stationary between the front and rear body parts. The carrier is made hollow with a passageway. The satellites in the form of wheels with an outer ring gear for engaging with internal toothing of the central cog-wheel are mounted on the eccentric surfaces of the carrier. The carrier free ends are provided with mounting bearings. The front and rear body parts are made with cylindrical axial bores from the side of their inner side surface, in which the carrier mounting bearings are arranged. The satellites have ports with connection elements therein with the rear body part which has a annular relieved portion on the side surface from the satelite side. The connection elements between the satellites and the body are made in the form of cylindrical pins adapted to cooperate with walls of the satellite ports. From one side ends of the pins are tied by a strength ring adapted to rotate in the annular relieved portion of the body rear part, wherein from the other side the pins are connected for transferring running torque with the scroll gear. The simplification of the design of clamp self-centering chuck is achieved, providing enhancement of its operation abilities. |
