PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately check for any faults in tire bead parts including bead base areas from the toe end to the heel end.SOLUTION: When the bead parts of a tire are checked, data on a checkup bead base profile in a direction orthogonal to the tire circumference direction including the bead base area from the tow end to the heel end of the tire bead parts is acquired. Further, according to an approximation line obtained by linearly approximating the data on the checkup bead base profile in the intermediate area located between the toe ends and the heel ends of the tire bead parts, any insufficiency of rubber members in the toe end area is checked on the basis of the extent of deviation of the data on the checkup bead base profile in the intermediate area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
