The heat exchanger comprises a stack of heat conducting thin fins (A1-i) having between them a series of gaps (6) of small thickness for the passage of the first fluid. The fins are in thermal contact with the second fluid which flows through channels (5) passing through the fins and extending in the direction of the stack. Each channel is formed by brazing and sealing the truncated annular edges (1) of holes (2) passing through the fins. One (A1) of the two end fins of the stack constitutes a wall of a manifold (A1,S1) through which the second fluid penetrates into the exchanger. The manifold communicates with the ducts through holes passing through the end web. One of the two end fins is joined to a supplementary pressed plate (S2) which is locally separated from the end fin to form depressions (7). Each depression communicates with the holes passing through the end fin so as to form, with the corresponding channels, a U trajectory for the second fluid.
