Twin track cigarette making machine

The twin track cigarette making machine comprises two horizontal shower channels through which tobacco is arranged to be showered onto two suction bands moving in converging directions in a horizontal plane and presenting vertical tobacco-receiving surfaces to form a cigarette filler stream on each of the suction bands. A feed encloses each of the filler streams (possibly after trimming) in a continuous wrapper web to form two parallel cigarette rods. The filler stream formed on each suction band is received by a further suction band arranged to carry the filler stream on its underneath surface and into a rod former by which the filler stream is enclosed in the wrapper web.
