The stator (10) includes an annular cylindrical body with a series of slots (F). A first slot (F1) receives the axial wires (A1) of the first coil (B1) which is situated radially towards the exterior and has transverse wires (T1) extending to the fourth slot (F4). Similarly second and third coils (B2,B3) occupy respectively the second (F2) and fifth (F5) and the third (F3) and sixth (F6) slots. The transverse wires (T1,T2,T3) are approximately inclined at the same angle in the same direction relative to a direction perpendicular to the stator axis. Two (T1,T2) may be curved outwards in their central sections. The electrical connections to the input and output wires of the intermediate coil (B2) are inverted to give a 120 degrees phase shift between them.
