A device is claimed for treating liq. steel under vacuum. It consists of a tank (1) fitted with a pumping system and at least one tubular plunger (5, 6). The tank (1) incorporates a tank bottom (4) which includes at least one leg (11, 12) fitted with a channel (13, 14) of refractory material connecting the inner part (15) of the tank (1) to the outside of the tank (1). The plungers (5, 6) incorporate main channels (31, 32) of refractory material which are arranged with respect to the legs (11, 12) to extend their channels (13, 14). The channels (13, 14) of the legs (11, 12) and the main channels (31, 32) of the plungers (5, 6) are made up of sleeves of a refractory material not shaped by isostatic pressing. The sleeve is also claimed and is made from a tubular alumina granulate or corundum with or without spinel and an organic binder such as graphite. |
