CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CURSOR VARIABLE VELOCITY

The system controls the variation of the speed of the cursor displayed on a monitor, so as to improve the performance of the information processing in a computer system. The system comprises: a cursor position control device generating control signals of a cursor movement speed and a cursor movement direction by detecting the speed and the operation amount of a manipulator(2) for moving the position of the cursor; one detector(31) detecting the cursor movement speed based on the control signals of the cursor position control device; the other detector(32) detecting the cursor movement direction based on the control signals of the cursor position control device; a decoder(34) determining the movement speed and direction of the cursor; a data converter(35) converting the data from the decoder(34) into a series of datastream format; a data transmitter(36) transmitting the converted data to a host computer.
