The automatic docking method for a notebook P.C. comprises the steps of: checking whether notebook P.C. is docked when the main power is on; reversing power supplying state in case of docking; ejecting the notebook PC from a docking station in a power turn off state if an input signal is an eject signal; or supplying power and transferring to a waiting state after docking to the station according to a signal from a photo sensor if the note book P.C. is not docked; thereby providing an automatic docking method.
