The closing system for an access opening such as a duct or a glove compartment comprises a sealing cover (4) which is opened or closed by a control lever (6). The seal is formed from a deformable elastic membrane, with a concavity turned towards the outside of the opening. Several parallel pre-cut slots (5) separate the membrane into thin tongues (4a) which can be elastically separated from each other to close or seal the opening. The control comprises a flexible curved and toothed piece (11). The teeth (12) come into contact with an internal face of the membrane tongues in order to separate them . The control curvature is adjustable and directed towards the internal face. Each tooth has a slope (12a) inclined to the membrane internal face so that one of the two pre-cut edges of each tongue can be slightly deformed by the associated tooth during opening.
