The remote switch includes the command input (31) which drives a rectifier (D1-D4). The rectifier output passes to a resistance (R1) in series with a parallel Zener diode (Z1) and resistance capacitance chain (R2,C1). When the command is first applied, there is a voltage differential to the base of a field effect transistor (Q1). The transistor allows a current to pass to the solenoid (26) to be switched, via an output circuit (32). As the capacitor is charged, the voltage differential across the transistor base is zero, switching off the output command voltage.
