The heat exchanger (1) has an overheating protection device (3) in the form of a capillary device with a re-switch-on knob (4) and a capillary (6) with a sensor (7) arranged in a recess (8) in the heat exchanger. The overheating protection device is mounted outside the heat exchanger as a stand-alone unit. The capillary between the heat exchanger and the overheating protection device is enclosed by a watertight tube which has a watertight connection at both ends to the overheating protection device and to the heat exchanger. The capillary can be fed into the housings of the overheating protection device and of the heat exchanger via tube fittings (13,14) with clamp bands (20). |
