Noise suppression system using spectral subtraction method

The noise suppression system determines the min. of the power intensity of the signal exhibiting the noise, with subsequent determination of the noise power intensity. Pref. the min. of the power intensity is determined in a limited bandwidth corresponding to the audible frequency band of the human ear and including the frequency band of the useful signal. The max. value may also be determined for use as a plausibility check.
