Hydraulic actuator with master and slave cylinders

The hydraulic actuator has a master cylinder (1) and a slave cylinder (2), with both piston chambers (7,17) being connected via a supply (19). The piston rod chambers (8,18) formed by the piston rods (5,15) are connected via a further supply (26). Both sets of chambers with their connecting supplies form a closed system. A reservoir (9) is located in the master cylinder and/or the slave cylinder, and is connected to the piston chambers via a first connecting supply (31), and to the rod chambers via a second supply (41).
