FIELD: water treatment and softening with application of electrochemical treatment in filters with grainy media. SUBSTANCE: filter for water treatment has body separated into chambers filled with filter media. One chamber is made in form of cylinder coaxially arranged in the body. Cylinder walls are permeable for ions of material and filled with conductive positive particles and the other is filled with mixture of conductive negative particles and nonconductive particles. Used as negative electric particles are aluminium, titanium, magnesium and others. Positive electric particles are used in form of carbon containing materials, for instance, graphite, graphite with sprayed-on silver, manganese. Nonconductive particles are used in form of limestone, calcite, chalk, dolomite. Chambers are furnished with short-circuited electrodes. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities of the filter for water treatment with its simultaneous softening and no use of chemical reagents. |
