FIELD: metallurgy, namely metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding melt metal from casting ladle to vacuum chamber, creating residual pressure into it, treating metal in vacuum chamber, feeding metal to intermediate ladle through branch pipe under level of metal in it, filling intermediate ladle by metal until working level, feeding metal to molds and then drawing ingots out of them. Before starting continuous casting process branch pipe and intermediate ladle are being moved one to another in order to set gap value between lower end of branch pipe and bottom of intermediate ladle equal to 0.01-0.2 of height of working level of metal in intermediate ladle. Then intermediate ladle is being filled by metal through branch pipe until working level. After metal level becomes higher than lower end of branch pipe that branch pipe and intermediate ladle are being moved in reverse direction by distance corresponding to depth of branch pipe immersion under metal level equal to 0.1 - 0.4 of metal working level in intermediate ladle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, high quality of ingots. |
