FIELD: pelletized raw material in ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: process for the manufacture of pellets that does not use completely or partially not easily available and expensive bentonites comprises forming raw granules and heat treating them in step wise manner on conveyer roasting machine. During the pelletizing operation the amount of binding material (B, kg/t) included into original charge of pellets is established by the silica content (V, %): during heat treatment operation, the maximum permissible temperature differential of heat carrier (Δ&Tgr; deg) as layer of pellets is transferred from zone to zone occurs according to the following relationships: B=19-K*(V-30) Δ&Tgr;=400-K*(V-30) wherein K=0.30-0.35 and K=1.10-1.40 are coefficients of proportionality. EFFECT: more efficient manufacturing process. |
