Process for separating solids from a liquid mix using a pusher centrifuge having a guide plate which, together with the pusher floor, defines the flow space for the mix which is fed through a central tube so that a dynamic pressure is built up in the region of the floor, acting radially inwards back into the flow space. Also claimed is the equipment required for this process.
