The adjuster is for a bevel gear (2) non-rotatably, but axially slidably mounted on a transmission shaft (7), displaceable w.r.t. a bevel gear (1) coupled to the shaft. The adjustable bevel gear comprises a protrusion (22) with an outer thread (21), surrounding the transmission shaft like a hollow shaft. The protrusion meshes with an inner thread (20) of an adjuster sleeve (3), coaxially enclosing the protrusion and coupled to the adjuster formed by an infinitely variable drive (29) directly driven from the transmission shaft.
