Vehicle power assisted steering system

The hydraulic circuit (2) of the vehicle's power assisted steering system has a control device (14), pref. a spring-return electromagnetic throttle valve. The device acts on the hydraulic fluid flow to damp out road knocks on the steered wheels. Pref. the throttle valve is linked to a control system (3) that picks up signals (8) from the vehicle wheels. Pref. the throttle valve is actuated when the vehicle motor is switched off.
