FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: core trap of nuclear reactor installed in concrete cavity of containment under the bottom of reactor pressurized vessel has basket with displacer in the form of layers of high-melting members with voids to pass emergency coolant and to distribute corium from its point of leakage from pressurized vessel, device for feeding emergency coolant to basket, and device for discharging emergency coolant from basket. Device for feeding emergency coolant to basket is, essentially, downtake channel whose top end communicates with emergency coolant pond and bottom one, with annular header arranged at the bottom of concrete cavity and abutting holes in bottom part of basket; device for discharging emergency coolant from basket is, essentially, uptake channel communicating with top part of basket. Trap may be found useful in constructing nuclear power plants with pressurized- water reactors. EFFECT: improved design. |
