FIELD: transport. SUBSTANCE: muscular force applied at movement is reduced by half owing to redistribution between muscles of legs, back, abdominal tension and also owing to rational construction of velomobile units. Velomobile has interconnected front frame 1 and rear frame 2, rear wheel 3, crank-pedal drive 4 with chain train, adjustable seat 6 with lock and suspension with front wheels 9 and 10. Front frame has two sections connected at angle of 155-165 degrees. Included angle between seat back and cushion is within 110 and 120 degrees. Handlebar 32 made in form of caliper is arranged below driver's legs. Torque developed on pedals 4 is transmitted to front wheels 9 (10) through sprocket-ratchet mechanism installed on shaft on compensator 39 with twin couplings. In movement optimum flexible loop of driver-velomobile system is formed. EFFECT: leg muscular efforts are reduced to minimum, fatigue characteristics are decreased and as, a result, travelling distance is increased. 2 cl, 3 dwg |
