The multi-part staircase is fastened on a hatch cover (20). When said cover closes an installed frame (1) horizontally, then the staircase lies in the interior of the frame in a collapsed state. When using the staircase, a closure is opened and the hatch cover is set obliquely, with the result that the staircase can be let down to the floor. U-rails (21) are fastened on the two longitudinal sides of the hatch cover. The staircase can be screwed on an inner flange (23) of the rail, and links (25), by means of which the hatch cover is suspended on the frame, can be screwed on an outer flange (22) of the rail. The articulated suspension of the hatch cover and the fitting of the staircase can be carried out without any specialist knowledge after the frame has been installed.
