The thermic release has a thermobimetallic strip (34), which is tensioned at one side and which is heated by currents above the network current, the resulting deflection causing opening of a contact position. The thermobimetallic strip has a current feed node between a pair of current take-off nodes connected to respective conductors (38,39) which are coupled together at their free ends, so that the thermobimetallic strip acts as two parallel strip sections.
