FIELD: specific electromagnetic motors for space engineering (interplanetary and interstellar vehicles designed for exit from spacecraft to take space walk, platforms for cargo transport from the Earth to orbit and back - so-called space elevator). SUBSTANCE: proposed kinetic motor is used as energy source converting electrical energy to kinetic energy of moving body. Novelty is that motor is made in the form of electromagnetic gun closed at both ends and accommodating pusher in the form of massive metal body free to move along gun case without coming in contact with side walls; shock absorbers are installed on closed ends of gun and provided with strikers; photocells are placed in side walls of gun level with strikers. EFFECT: improved efficiency approaching 100 per cent, extremely high power; power supply either through electric cable (when used as space elevator) or from self-contained power supply on board spacecraft (generator), or by using superconducting energy. 1 cl, 1 dwg |
