Polishing machine for cereal grains

The polishing machine receives the grain by gravity feed and the grain passes between the polishing cylinder and the retaining mesh. The polishing surface has 0.1 to 1 cutting points per square mm with each point having an effective diameter of 30 to 180 microns. The cutting points are crystalline with a hardness factor of 4 to 7. A variant of the polishing cylinder has a removable abrasive belt stretched over the cylinder and secured by adhesive or by soft soldering. A glass metal material can be used held in a matrix of steel, iron alloy, nickel etc.
