The present invention relates to consolidated settlement type improvement of a soft ground. A water collection pipe (25) in which multiple water holes (26) are bored is formed in a drain (20) vertically embedded into the soft ground. A pipe connecting the water collection pipes (25) is installed in the multiple drains (20), and air is compulsorily drawn out and transferred on the ground. Therefore, a dry environment is applied to the water collection pipe (25) in the drain (20). Calcium chloride in a fine powder state is supplied to the water collection pipe (25) in the drain (20) to induce the sudden inflow of surrounding power water. So, the moisture collected in the water collection pipe (25) is periodically and compulsorily sucked out, and, therefore, rapid exclusion of the pore water and consolidated settlement are possible. The consolidated settlement type improvement of the soft ground to which the vertical drain (20) is applied can remarkably reduce required construction periods and can remarkably improve a bearing force of the ground by enabling grouting using the drain (20) installed in advance after the consolidated settlement is completed. |
