FIELD: instruments. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of additional sine signal which period equals to period of signal to be measured, shift of one signal with respect to another one by phase in order to achieve equal or opposite phases in both signals. Level of constant constituent is judged by instantaneous level of investigated harmonic signal when additional sine signal is zero. This results in possibility to measure constant constituent for time that is less than half of oscillation frequency of signal to be investigated. This is important for low-frequency signals.
