Inverter-driver e.g. for electric vehicle AC voltage network

An AC power supply has a bridge inverter whose transistors are triggered by a control voltage at a frequency which is in resonance with a series resonant circuit (l1,c1,l2,c2) in the bridge branch. The AC output passes to a series of diodes (dr1 to dr4) for voltage limiting. The energy stored in the resonant circuit is passed to the DC source during load decrease. In normal operation, the voltage-limiting diodes do not conduct. The control voltage is transformed by a factor of 5 to 40, the transformer being a leakage reactance type. Apart from the primary and secondary windings, it has a clamping winding close to the secondary.
