PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure continuously and with high accuracy a cardiac output by performing an operation based on a blood temp., a temp. which is an equilibrium temp. obtd. by heating and then cooling by a blood flow and a cardiac output measured by injecting an indicating liq. CONSTITUTION:A blood temp. is measured with a blood temp. measuring circuit 25 and an equilibrium temp. is measured with an equilibrium temp. measuring circuit 26. These results are stored as calibration values of a cardiac output, the blood temp. and the equilibrium temp. in a device 42 for storing signals for calibration, and a const. for calculating the cardiac output is selected based on the calibration value of the equilibrium temp. When the calibration is judged to be unnecessary, the blood temp. and the equilibrium temp. are immediately measured. Operation of the continuous cardiac output is performed based on these measured results and the operational const. The measurement of the cardiac output is continuously performed thereby without measuring the absolute value of the blood flow rate and the accuracy of the measurement is also improved as a const. is used in accordance with the range of the measurement. |
