A blank (13) of raw rubber is placed in a divided mould (8,9) and the mould is closed and heated so that the blank is vulcanised to the basic body (2). The shaped blank of raw rubber and the likewise shaped insert (3) of carpeting are placed in the divided mould, and after closure of the mould they are subjected to mechanical pressure and during the ensuing vulcanisation of the blank to the basic body the insert is cooled in the mould on the side of its later free surface. The insert of carpeting is so cooled in the mould, that during the vulcanisation it does not exceed its softening temp. The fibres of the insert of carpeting are pressed by mechanical pressure during vulcanisation into the mass of the raw rubber. |
