<p>A multi-location television conference system is provided for conferences via television conference terminals (106, 107) of a first and second line speed. The television conference terminals (106, 107) are all connected to a communications network (104), which in turn is connected to a plurality of conference devices (105). An operational management device (108) controls the organization of the conference. The management device (108) determines which conference device is available for holding a conference depending on the line speed of the connected television terminals as well as the number of vacant lines available. In a preferred embodiment, the operational management device (108) comprises a reservation file (146) for storing reservation information on conferences to be held including the starting and ending times, number and location of participants. <IMAGE></p> |
