An articulated coupling for railway vehicles, comprises a support (2) fixable to a first railway vehicle body and having a pivot ball (7), and mounting means (8, 8') fixable to a second railway vehicle body and having a bearing shell (10) for the pivot ball (7). The bracket (2) for the pivot ball (7) includes a downwardly open U-shape frame (2) one limb (3) of which carries or is formed as a mounting pin for the pivot ball (7) and the other limb (6) of which is fixedly connectable to the first railway vehicle body, the bearing shell (10) being mounted on the pivot ball (7) and the U-shape frame (2) being detachably closable from below by a cover (4).
