<p>The vehicle seat has a shaped frame (5) which includes two side members (6,7) each extending between a front and rear end. The rear ends of these members mount the seat back and the front ends are connected together by a front cross member (8). The frame has two rigid sections (10,20) having a general U shape with their bases (11,21) located at the front. There are two side branches (12,13,22,23) which extend rearwards from the base as far as the rear ends (12a,13a,22a,23a). The respective bases of the two sections. are parallel so as to form the frame front cross member. The two sections are rigidly fixed to each other in two front fixing points (33). Each side member is formed by two side branches of the two sections. There is a rigid vertical fixing plate (30). The rear ends of the two side branches are spaced from each other and fastened to vertical rigid fixing plates (30). The seat frame has an increased mechanical resistance without any increased cost or weight</p> |
