The automatic playing method in the VCR comprises the steps of: finishing record(S1-S3), judging whether a pushed button is playing button(B3); starting play after turning on electric power and rewinding to count 0 if the pushed button is playing button(B3)(S4-S6); returning to S2 process if input button is not playing button(B3) in S3 process and power is turn off, or judging whether input button is playing button(B3) if power is turn on(S7,S8); performing a certain functions if the input button is not playing button or rewinding to count 0 if the input button is playing button(B3) (S9-S11), thereby simplifying the operation of VCR.
