<p>PURPOSE: To enhance efficiency of sealing work by inserting a female coupling into an unprojecting outer piping and integrating therewith and then sealing the coupling hermetically by winding a rubber or soft plastic band material thereby eliminating the troublesome work, e.g. mixing of material and injection thereof, at a work site. CONSTITUTION: A split coupling member 8 is integrated while wrapping a circular structure 3 and then sealed hermetically by winding a vinyl tape 11. The narrow part 6a of a rubber or soft plastic foamed band material 6 is then wound around the circular structure 3. When the diameter at the wound part is substantially equalized to the outside diameter of the coupling 8, the wide part 6b of the band material 6 is wound continuously around the coupling 8. The coupling 8 and the circular structure 3 are then fastened, at the wound part, by means of a piping fastener, i.e., a piping band 12. This method can seal the gap between the winding layers of the band materials 6a, 6b hermetically with an adhesive layer and can eliminate the gap at the start-of-winding by eliminating the level difference through compression.</p> |
