PURPOSE: To provide a dictionary device by which information compatible to the intention of an original sentence is retrieved. CONSTITUTION: An input control means 2 receives the analysis result of the original sentence from the analizing means Al of a machine translation apparatus A with an input terminal 1. A dictionary access means 6 selects an object relating the analysis result from an object group 50 stored in an object dictionary means 5 and starts it. The dictionary access means 6, an output means 9 and an output device 10 provide information from the object to a user based on a request from the selected object. An input device 8, an input means 7 and the dictionary access means 6 execute access to the object based on the request from the selected object. Thus, an equivalent is decided. An output control means 3 provides the equivalent decision information to the machine translation apparatus A with an output terminal 4. |
