PURPOSE: To permit a reliable seal between a lid plate and a sealing profile by causing a lid plate for closing an opening in a roof and the surface of the edge of a flange provided at the lid plate to abut the sealing lip of the sealing profile and a clamping groove so that they are held therein. CONSTITUTION: A roof opening 2 in a fixed roof 1 is closed by a glass lid 3, and the glass lid 3 is supported from beneath by a reinforcing frame 5 having a horizontal flange 6 for a firmly connected lid plate 4. An edge gap sealing profile 7 is provided with ribs 10 and clamping projections 11 on the opposite walls of a clamping groove 8 surrounded by a metallic reinforcing inlay 9 and receiving a flange 6, and a recess 18 and a sealing lip 16 are provided thereabove. The sealing lip 16 is provided with a depression 22 which corresponds to the edge 20 of the lid plate 4. Thus when the sealing profile 7 is pressed against the flange 6 by means of the flange groove 8, an outer surface 21 makes contact with the edge 20 and can form a seal wrapping and sealing the edge 20. |
